What is Money Talks?

Money Talks, in a nutshell, is a financial ministry. After spending the last 20 years in the Financial Planning arena, I'm looking forward to spending the next 20 years helping people manage the money that God has given them. Using good food, better drinks and great community to create a space for people to freely talk about money.

Why Money Talks?

We all have relationships that we cherish. For me, those are: my relationship with Jesus as his follower, my marriage to my Bride as her husband, my legacy I leave my daughters as their Dad and my community that calls me their friend. Ironically, my relationship with my money directly affects all of the other relationships that I cherish. What I've found is that for the majority of people that I meet that cherish similar relationships, they haven't defined their relationship with their money. This leads to having financial strains at the least and financial insecurity at the worst in all of their cherished relationships.

Where are Money Talks?

Wherever you pick! You're the host, so you pick the venue. The Money Talks ministry pays for the evening and plans the event. From the invitations to the parking. We love having a semi-private room and we're looking forward to the first person that plans an event at any of Atlanta's local breweries. (hint, hint)

Who is Van?

I'm Van Baird. Follower of Jesus. Husband to Wendy. Daddy to two adult daughters. Connector of people. Owner of businesses. I've been in the financial planning arena since 1999. Currently as the owner of local State Farm agency in Sugar Hill. With the heart and education of a Pastor, I find conversations with people about money and how to manage it to be life giving. Whether you are wanting to spend, save or give, having a plan for the money that God has given you will enable you to accomplish way more in this life than without one.
